Writer Profile Update: NOÖ Journal’s Mike Young
Mike chatted with the Writer Profile Project on April 26th, 2007. (Read that interview here.) What’s changed in his world since then? He’s in Massachusetts getting his MFA, for one. Plus, he’s got some cool, new work out. And, of course, NOÖ is still going strong. Read what he says.
Mike says:
Now I live in Massachusetts, where most of my time is spent figuring out synonyms for “I am so cold.” My main writing project right now is called MC Oroville’s Answering Machine, which will be coming out as a chapbook from Transmission Press sometime this year. Poems from MC Oroville are online at Juked, elimae, Pequin, and Lamination Colony. A few hours ago I ate some shepherd pie in a yellow house, which I add just to amuse myself seven months down the road during a fit of self-Googling where I’m all “Yeah, yeah, I had just ate some shepherd’s pie before I wrote that. Oh Mike, you’re such a– well, I don’t know. I don’t! But you are. Whatever it is. You so are.”
P.S. NOÖ Journal is still alive. Everything is late. My apologies. [Eight] will soon arrive.”
