flavor a deux presents the Writers on Food Series

General Guidelines:

Do you have a favorite memory of walking through your grandfather’s orchard? Or touring Italy’s wine region? Do you remember tasting lobster for the first time? Rambutan? Enchiladas montada? Did you call a cookie an e-e when you were a kid? I did. Or maybe you tried to cook your spouse a gourmet meal only to have it end up a tragic mess. Whatever your food memories and adventures may be, share them with us!

Submit non-fiction articles, essays, anecdotes, memoir, etc. about food, and the role food has played in your life by October 19th. There is no word limit, but please keep in mind, this is the web. Readers, and editors, have short attention spans.

Reprints are welcome, as there is no payment at this time, but you must retain electronic rights to your piece. Please inform us at the time of submission if your piece has been previously published.

Please submit your piece within the body of the email. Attachments may or may not be opened. If you do not hear from us by November 1st, please inquire. Email does get lost! It does!

If accepted, a short interview with you will appear alongside your piece.
