This week should be poetry week, but I find that I don’t enjoy reading that much poetry. It boggles my mind, and not in ways I find challenging and enjoyable. So. I’m scrapping poetry week and moving to a two week schedule. Every other Friday, starting on the 15th, I will post my picks in creative non-fiction, flash fiction, and short stories. The schedule for the upcoming months will look something like this:

February 15th: Flash Fiction
March 2nd: Short Stories
March 16th: Creative Non-Fiction
March 30th: Flash Fiction

Instead of “Picks of the Week,” the thread will be called “The Showcase.” It will still include five pieces that I think are worthy of mention. Not that there aren’t more than five outstanding pieces available out there for your enjoyment, but I pick the five that rocked me the most.
